Special Promises To Those Who Exercise Faith

God expects us to exercise faith because it pleases Him.  How do we exercise faith?  By hearing and hearing the word of God because it’s in hearing that we believe and by believing we take action by putting what we believe to work.

“For you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as were baptized into Christ have put on Christ . . . And if you are Christ’s, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise” Galatians 3:26-29.  Abraham was a man who lived a life of faith and he’s known as the father of faith.  Christians are also heirs and spiritual descendants of Abraham and are to receive their eternal inheritance of these promises through faith.

Here are seven promises to those who exercise faith

Answer to prayer
And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive (Matthew 21:22)

Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father. (John 14:12)

For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.  (Romans 10:11)

But you must continue to believe this truth and stand firmly in it. Don’t drift away from the assurance you received when you heard the Good News. The Good News has been preached all over the world, and I, Paul, have been appointed as God’s servant to proclaim it.  (Colossians 1:23)

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: (John 1:12) Continue reading “Special Promises To Those Who Exercise Faith”

7 Examples Of Great Faith

Hebrews chapter 11:1 gives a Biblical definition of faith – “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.”  Faith is important in the life of a Christian because without it, you cannot please God (Hebrews 11:6).  Be inspired by these ordinary people who demonstrated great faith and received their healing.

The Canannite Woman
“Dear woman,” Jesus said to her, “your faith is great. Your request is granted.” And her daughter was instantly healed.  Matthew 15:28

The Leper
Suddenly, a man with leprosy approached him and knelt before him. “Lord,” the man said, “if you are willing, you can heal me and make me clean.”  Matthew 8:2

The Centurion
When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel.  Matthew 8:10 Continue reading “7 Examples Of Great Faith”

A Daughter’s Heart Of Faith

Read Mark 5:25-34

“And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.”

Mark 5:34

In this passage, you see the woman suffered from bleeding for twelve years.  She spent all that she had by seeing various doctors.  Instead of her getting better her situation rather got worse because these doctors understand her sickness.

It is common with people to give up on something that is not working for so many years but that wasn’t the case with this lady.  Twelve years of pain with different people and doctors were not enough reasons to stop her heart of faith.  She persevered through the crowd in her desire to get healed and she certainly received her healing. The Contentious Wife

It is better to dwell in the wilderness, than with a contentious and an angry woman. (KJV)

Proverbs 21:19

Lord I thank you for the gift of love and the covenant of our marriage. I thank you for the life of my husband.

Lord I ask for the grace and the spirit of meekness to be a comfort, and help meet for my husband.  Holy Spirit take away every anger in me.  Help me to make my husband’s stay at home comfortable.

May the love we both share causes me to demonstrate respect, forgiveness, patience, honesty, kindness, understanding, and most especially companionship.  May our home be a place of peace where we’ll always live sociably with each other.

Help me to be a better wife in Jesus name.  amen.

Living your life by your own strength can fail you

  •  Are you going through so much hurts and bitterness?
  • You’ve waited on the Lord for so long and nothing seems to change and you feel all hope is lost?
  • Do you need specific scriptures to apply to that special need in your life?

I’m delighted to have you here

I am an everyday woman, a child of promise and a daughter of the most high.  I live my life base on what the word of God says about me and not what men say about me.  I believe my life has always been ordered by God.  I learn from everyday life – from people I talk to and meet on the street.  I also learn from books by great men and women of God.

Searching the scriptures is one of the things I love to do – trying to know more and more about God.  Often times when I’m faced with challenges I get consolation from the holy scriptures or listen to messages that connects to whatever I’m going through.

So what is it that I can help you with?

Hi, I’m Gertrude Bruce-White Amedoda.

I hope to help you overcome every challenges life throws at you as a woman through the word of God

I love to impart knowledge – teach, counsel and advise others.  Having a blog is one of the platforms to organize my thoughts and also spread the word of God to my other friends in the world.

I believe women face a lot of challenges that are so unique and peculiar to them.  I started this blog with the desire to uplift and encourage the daughters of the King (the most high) through prayers, special scriptures, devotionals, inspirations, etc.

You are fearfully and wonderfully made as a woman and you need to realize how precious and beautiful you are.

Here are a few things you’ll learn here:

  • God can use any form of person to accomplish His will
  • The wisdom and power of God can overcome every problem that confronts women
  • To live a fulfilled life by discovering the reason why you are in this world
  • To grow and be filled with hope through devotionals, prayers and scriptures
  • You’ll be wiser and gain wisdom and direction for your life
  • To feel that uniqueness as a woman
