The Secret Behind The Journey Of Faith

Read Mark 4:35-41

He said to his disciples, “Why are you so afraid? Do you still have no faith?

Mark 4:40 (NIV)

They were the called and chosen ones.  They were preaching, healing the sick and casting out devils but for a moment they realized their faith level was zero.  These were the disciples of Jesus Christ.  Their faith was tested and they seemed not to know who their master was and began to ask themselves “what manner of man is this that even the wind obey him”.

In your walk with God challenges and trails may cause your level of faith shaken or probably reduced to nothing but it doesn’t stop the hand of God at work in your life.  When you even find yourself in a storm with a ‘NO FAITH’ situation his goodness and mercy sees you through.

For me, I see faith as a journey.  Whether you’ve already started it, about to start or better still having stormy weather on the way His mercy is always enough.

As it was in the days of the disciples where Jesus had to solve the problem by calming the wind before addressing their walk of faith so it is with us today.  I can trust that whatever stage I am in this walk of faith his goodness will help me get to the next level.

The secret therefore behind our journey of faith is that it is a gift from God (Ephesians 2:8) and he alone can help us build it from ‘NO FAITH’ to GREAT FAITH.  Amen.

Prayer
Dear God, please forgive us when we doubt. Calm our windy and stormy emotions and cause us to trust and know you better. Amen.
