The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (ESV)
Heavenly father I thank you for your faithfulness and steadfast love. You are the giver of hope and strength. I admit that I’m often afraid. In my darkest moment and challenging times I can’t see the right way. But you oh Lord are my light that gives me hope in times of darkness and strength in times of weakness – so I don’t have to be afraid.
Today I let go of all my fears because you are the stronghold of my life. Amen
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. (NIV) – Philippians 4:6
Thank you Lord for the opportunity to put all my cares and worries on you. I pray for strength to overcome the fear of the future.
Holy Spirit take control of every situation that has troubled my mind. By prayer and petition, with thanksgiving I commit my challenges and requests to you Lord.
Fill my heart with faith instead of worry. amen
“That is why I tell you not to worry about everyday life–whether you have enough food and drink, or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing?”-(NIV)
Creator of the universe I thank you. The Lord my provider I thank you. Thank you for the abundance of your grace. I know you are the God of all flesh and there is nothing too difficult for you.
I have realised that worrying will not change my situation. I therefore reject the tendency to worry over things I cannot change in my own power.
Thank you Lord because you will provide for all my need just as you do for the birds of the air. amen
