Love Your Kids

We love because he first loved us.

1 John 4:19 ( ESV)

Dear God, I thank you for sending Jesus Christ to die for me.  Thank you for your unconditional love which enables me to love others.  Help me to love my kids.  Help me to manage my anger and cause me to be more patient with them.

Grant me the strength to play, the ability to listen, understand and enjoy my kids.  I pray for wisdom to discipline in love and coach them when they find something they love.  May television, social media, and other entertainments not take my attention from my kids.  But rather help me to be available when they need me.

Above all, may I continually give your unconditional love to my kids.  Thank you for first loving us.  amen.

4 Most Powerful Prayers For Your Children

We are full of so much joy and happiness on special occasions like Christmas, New Year, Weddings, Birthdays, Valentine days, Graduation, etc.  We feel loved seeing our friends and loved ones around us. So much joy, laughter and giving of gifts is the order of the day because the day has been marked ‘SPECIAL’.  So is the birth of a child.  I see the day a child is born to be a joyous day.  The pain during pregnancy and delivery are all forgotten immediate the beautiful gift is born.  Psalm 127:3 make us understand that children are an heritage (a gift) from the Lord.  John 16:21  also indicated that “When a woman is giving birth, she has sorrow because her hour has come, but when she has delivered the baby, she no longer remembers the anguish, for joy that a human being has been born into the world.”

A gift needs to be taken care of and praying for our children is one of the ways to show our love and concern for their physical, spiritual & emotional needs.  Be encouraged by these scriptures.

God’s Blessings
Pray for their lives to be preserved by God and that they’ll walk in the fear and knowledge of God.  We saw this in the life of Abraham who prayed for his son Ishmael.  So Abraham said to God, “May Ishmael live under your special blessing!” Genesis 17:18 (NLT)

A Devoted Heart
Pray for your children to have a devoted heart to keep God’s commands.  An example is David, for Solomon Give my son Solomon the wholehearted desire to obey all your commands, laws, and decrees, and to do everything necessary to build this Temple, for which I have made these preparations.” 1 Chronicles 29:19 (NLT)

Forgiveness Of Sins
Pray and constantly (i.e. daily) ask for the forgiveness of sins for your children.  Job consecrated and offered burnt offerings to the Continue reading “4 Most Powerful Prayers For Your Children”

Not Easily Broken

Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.  – Ecclesiastes 4:12 (NIV)

Thank you heavenly father for our marriage.  Thank you for being the solid foundation of our marriage.  May we be strong and united because we have made you our foundation.

Help us to always have a close relationship with you.  A divided family cannot stand therefore cause us to remain united.  May we find unconditional friendship in each other and may we remain like a twisted threefold cord which is not easily broken.  amen

Loving Each Other Deeply

Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins. (NIV) – 1 Peter 4:8

Thank you Lord for your marvelous love.  Thank you for the love we share as a couple.  We know there are times we both failed and hurt each other.  Teach us how to love deeply for we now know that love covers a multitude of sins.

Above all may we seek the best for each other unselfishly.  amen.
